Amadou Haidara Extends Contract with RB Leipzig

Mali International Commits to Bundesliga Club

Leipzig, Germany - Amadou Haidara, the dynamic midfielder for RB Leipzig and the Mali national team, has signed a contract extension that will keep him at the Bundesliga club until 2026.

Haidara, known for his exceptional ball-winning abilities and creative passing, has become a key figure for both club and country in recent years. Since joining Leipzig in 2018, he has made over 100 appearances, contributing with both goals and assists.

The 26-year-old's impact extends beyond the pitch. As the "chef d'orchestre" (conductor) of the Mali Eagles, Haidara has played a pivotal role in the team's recent successes, including their qualification for the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations.

RB Leipzig sporting director Oliver Mintzlaff expressed his delight at Haidara's contract extension. "Amadou is a top player and a great character. We are very happy to have him stay with us for the long term."

Haidara himself stated, "Leipzig is my home. I feel very comfortable here and I am convinced that we can achieve great things together in the future."
